Kumbh Mela Haridwar

Kumbh Mela Haridwar

The word Kumbh Mela paints thousands of pictures in the mind of anyone having an idea of this event. Kumbh Mela is the largest gathering of mankind on earth and Haridwar is one of the four places apart from Prayagraj, Ujjain and Nashik.

The word Haridwar itself means Gateway to God which signifies the importance of this place, hence making Haridwar Kumbh as most important of all four.

Next Kumbh Mela is slated to be held at Haridwar from 14 Jan – 27 April 2021.

Haridwar is a town located 250 Kms from Delhi. Being an important religious destination for Hindus across the globe, it is well connected by all major cities of India. The nearest airport is Dehradun which is 40 Kms from Haridwar.

Haridwar Kumbh is planned at a very large scale and it is expected to be visited by Pilgrims, Photographers, Yoga Enthusiasts and Nirvana seekers from various parts of the world.

Taking a dip in Holy Ganges on specific dates called as “Shahi Snaan” is the main ritual of this festival. During “Shahi Snaan” all kinds of Sadhus, the holy men, be it those wearing saffron clothes or those cladded with Sandalwood paste or even Naga Sadhus who don’t wear anything at all  can be viewed who are allotted specific time slots to take the dip. Several other activities such as mass feeding of pilgrimages, religious gatherings by prominent saints giving lecture on divinity & Hinduism and devotional music can well be witnessed.

It is an unparalleled event and we have successfully conducted tours for Kumbh Mela held in past.
